Veterans Honored with Celebration at Culver’s of BeloitCulver's of Beloit, WI - Cranston Rd
Veterans Day stands as a reminder of the sacrifices that men and women have made for our country. Culver’s franchisees Bill Lock and Jim and Terri Agate have turned this important holiday into a special celebration of those who have served in the armed forces. They have organized Veterans Day events at their Beloit, Wisconsin, and Huntley, Illinois, restaurants for the past five years. The restaurants also donate 11 percent of the day’s profits to VetsRoll, Inc®, an organization that funds trips for veterans and “Rosie-the-Riveters” to Washington D.C.’s national monuments.
For Culver’s of Beloit, Veterans Day is marked by the approximately 300 flags that decorate the restaurant’s lawn, representing fallen Wisconsin soldiers, and includes a ceremonial salute to our country’s veterans. Guests can also celebrate by ordering a patriotic Sundae, and 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to VetsRoll, Inc®.
Over 100 people typically attend the restaurant’s Veterans Day ceremony, including Culver’s Co-founder Craig Culver, who leads the pledge of allegiance. A flag folding ritual, military colors display and a flag dedication ceremony rounds out the day’s events. After five years of the special celebration, Culver’s guests have helped raise $23,000 for VetsRoll, Inc®.
Culver’s restaurants show their appreciation for veterans throughout the year. Select restaurants offer military discounts, and some offer special parking spots reserved for veterans. Reach out to your local Culver’s to see if they offer either of these honorary perks.
