Culver's "Scoops of Thanks" Raises $56,500 to Support Agriculture
Each Guest's $1 Donation Supported Local FFA and Other Ag Organizations
PRAIRIE DU SAC, Wis. - June 1, 2016 - More than 550 Culver's restaurants across 23 states sold over 48,000 scoops of Fresh Frozen Custard during the second annual Scoops of Thanks Day on May 5, raising $56,500 for agricultural education. Guests received a scoop of Fresh Frozen Custard for a $1 donation to FFA or other local agricultural organizations.
"Our guests appreciate the hard work farmers put into producing our nation's food as much as we do," said David Stidham, vice president of marketing for Culver's. "We're glad to be able to set aside a day when the entire Culver's community can show their gratitude and make a contribution to support the next generation of farmers."
Scoops of Thanks Day is part of Culver's Thank You Farmers program, which recognizes the hard work and commitment of the farmers who feed the nation. To date, the Thank You Farmers initiative has raised nearly one million dollars in support of the National FFA Organization and Foundation, local FFA chapters and a variety of local agricultural organizations.
