Sheboygan Culver's Owner/Operator Receives Highest Honor

Ken Horkan accepts GM Culver Award

PRAIRIE DU SAC, Wis.—  February 13, 2020 – Ken Horkan, owner/operator of three Culver’s restaurants in Sheboygan, is the recipient of the 2020 GM Culver Award. The award, named after the father of co-founder Craig Culver, is the highest honor in the organization which recognizes individuals who have demonstrated long-term visionary leadership and success.

"Ken is very deserving of this honor," said Craig Culver in presenting the award at the company's annual convention in Phoenix last week. “Ken and his wife Jill are great ambassadors for Culver’s. They wear shirts and hats with Culver’s logos with pride. They have been heavily involved in supporting the community they have lived in for the last 20 years. Ken is a very genuine person with strong family values,” Culver added.

“It has been such a pleasure to work with Culver’s Family over the years. I am looking forward to what the future brings and watch my kids grow within Culver’s,” said Ken. “I want to thank Sheboygan for welcoming my family and Culver’s with open arms, it’s been an honor to serve and work with this community. Lastly, I want to thank our amazing team members at the restaurants; without them this would not be possible!”

Horkan has been an owner/operator in the Sheboygan community since 1998. He currently oversees operations at 641 S. Taylor Drive, 4225 Highway 42, and 2510 Washington Avenue. He also has mentored a former General Manager (Brian Lovelien) to be the operating partner of the Culver’s of Shawano, WI.
