Margo Works Her Way to the American Dream

Close up shot of Margo looking to the left side. Text: I have the opportunity to reach a lot of people and touch their hearts

When Margo Valenzuela moved from Guadalajara to the U.S., her life changed completely. Though she graduated with a degree in computer programming, her degree didn’t transfer and she found herself working at a factory with difficult hours as a young mother. Margo didn’t get discouraged though and was determined to work her way through it.

When an opportunity came to join Culver’s, she enthusiastically accepted. Inspired by her parents’ relentless work ethic and her time in the Culver’s mentorship program, she worked her way up from first assistant to general manager, earning leadership awards along the way.

Fifteen years after she first joined our True Blue Crew, she moved to Florida, a place she’s always dreamed of living, to become a franchise owner and operator at one of the state’s growing number of Culver’s restaurants. Now this proud mother of three (with two already making their way through college) is on a mission to help others.

“I’m not here just to serve ButterBurgers and Fresh Frozen Custard,” says Margo. “I have the opportunity to reach a lot of people and touch their hearts… Whether it’s team members, guests, my boss, whoever I can help, I will.” A strong believer in always doing what’s right, her guests and team members are always in great hands.

Watch Margo tell her inspiring story and hear what Culver’s means to her. (English subtitles available.)
