Culver’s of Neenah, Wisconsin, has been supporting its local Winneconne FFA Chapter since Culver’s Thank You Farmers Project began five years ago. Every year the restaurant holds events and coordinates fundraisers to support the FFA chapter.
One such event is the annual petting zoo and farm show that Winneconne FFA sets up in the restaurant’s parking lot. The restaurant donates 10 percent of the day’s sales to the FFA chapter, raising up to $3,000 each year.
“I believe in FFA.” - Mike Kriegl
Culver’s of Neenah franchisee Mike Kriegl says his passion for supporting FFA stems from his childhood growing up on a farm and being a member of his local FFA and 4-H chapters. He even credits his involvement with the organizations as helping him to learn the business and leadership skills that he needs to run his restaurant.
To Mike, Culver’s support of FFA makes sense, as restaurants rely on agriculture for the food they serve. “If it wasn’t for farming, we wouldn’t have Culver’s.”

Guests at Culver’s of Neenah love supporting their local FFA chapter because it’s an important part of their community. “The kids today are our future,” explained Mike. “The FFA builds great young leaders.”
